Don't waste your time looking for someplace else to eat. This is the best spot I've found in the area. Huge portions of food and worth every dime!! Good coffee, great breakfast food and friendly service. Food comes out fast and hot!! I cannot wait to eat here again!!

A few months ago I was driving through Lodi with a few others. They were hollering that they were hungry and wanted to stop for breakfast. But they insisted on no chain restaurants or fast food. So we googled and found Avenue Grill. So glad we dined here. The food was traditional classic American fare served up by the nicest staff (which was ethnically diverse). The vibe is welcoming. I noticed that the staff knew a lot of the regular folks (also ethnically diverse) by name. They serve up breakfast and lunch. They are known for their signature giant flapjack. $5.99. But none of us ordered. Next time for sure. Anyways, I got with eggs and bacon breakfast. Simple and prepared right. Luved it. Prices weren't bad. The menu options were plentiful. The place is on the smallish side. They have tables and a counter. When the dining room is full, it's cozy cramped. The noise level can get loud.

The Avenue grill is a legendary breakfast spot in this community. It's not unusual to wait for a table but it's worth the time. We had the all meat omelette; delicious ham, sausage and bacon paired with onions and peppers. The sides include country potatoes and amazing buttery toast. We also sampled the chicken fried steak; cooked perfectly. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. The establishment is clean and decorated with a country vibe. I will definitely return.

I eat here with my family after church frequently, the people who work here are always so friendly and welcoming. My grandpa can be kind of an annoying old man making jokes about getting things for free and stuff like that, (the jokes people who work in retail or restaurants hear toooo often, I work retail so I know) but the waitresses are very nice and know how to laugh it off well! We have had waitress in particular numerous times , I think her name is Stacey (that's what it said on the receipt) and she is so nice!!! She is the best! Thank you for always treating us so well, we appreciate you and everyone who works here!! :) Also the food is AMAZING... the potatoes are delicious I have never had breakfast potatoes like this before but omg you gotta try them Last time I ate here I ordered the half breakfast with two sausage links, assuming it would only come with one egg bc that's what the menu says...but to my surprise I got two! The half breakfast is honestly the perfect amount for me! I have ordered the full breakfast many times (which is undeniably a better value for the price) but I always end up being wayyy too full and not being able to finish it... so in my opinion the half breakfast is just right! I added a photo of it to this review :)

This is has been a family favorite for so long. I love the small town diner vibes and the staff is always welcoming and friendly. This particular time my family and I came in just before 8am. We sat down and ordered and everything came out quickly. The potatoes are always my favorite. Perfectly crunchy and soft! Depending on what you order you'll definitely have some leftovers since the portions are a little big.

Second time there. The food is typically really good. Hubby got the Works omelette, but said the peppers were overwhelming the entire thing. Finished maybe half. It's an interesting setup. There's a designated server for your table but all serves help and check on you. They had a bacon waffle I wanted to try that I saw online. Unfortunately waffles are only offered on Thursdays. In any case, nice people and good food. We'll be going back. Hopefully on a Thursday.

Day 2 Stop 1 "Where do all the locals go?" Preface- We are weekend tripping in Lodi and where to dine was always a question. We found this place and what a great choice it was. They were 90% occupied and fortunately, there was a table for us. Knowing our day is filled with winetasting, we agreed to get a hearty breakfast to start. Naturally and in addition to our coffee and breakfast, we order their Mimosa by the bottle with orange juice... Just to set the mood... Country style biscuits and gravy, basic bacon and eggs and a burger dawned our table. I had to try their hotcakes. Not that I'm an hotcake aficionado but their hotcakes were GOOD. Great way to start the day!

It is located in the shopping center, tucked in the corner. There is plenty of parking space but it is a pretty little busy spot. We put our name on the waiting list and we were seated within 10 minutes. They have all the American breakfast items. I went for the French toast combo which includes two eggs and bacon. The French toast was plentiful and they were amazing. The omelette was loaded! I tried his seasoned potatoes and they were so good too. The service was great as our server would come often to check on us and refill our coffees often with a smile. Overall, great food, great service where I felt very welcomed. I will definitely be back!

Hands down my FAVORITE breakfast spot in Lodi! The food is always so good and the portion sizes are huge! They have the sweetest staff working there, you are always made to feel at home when you visit. I love sharing the very large short stack combo with my little man but if I were to order something just for me, it would definitely be the Poorman's Benedict! It's not unlikely to experience a short wait on the weekends but it is well worth it!

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, so when I find a great breakfast spot I have to tell the world! We were searching on Yelp and found this place and jumped in the car and went. When we first pulled up it was a long line outside which proved what we were thinking " this must be a good breakfast spot " we thought we would have to wait an hour but to our surprise, it was a 15 minute wait for two! They were pretty quick. When we sat down, I ordered a coffee and the husband ordered a coke. Service was fast and friendly, I mean I couldn't even drink my coffee fully without someone asking to refill it. Now for the food, I ordered the turkey bacon breakfast which comes with eggs, country potatoes and toast. Everything was so good, the potatoes remind me of my moms smothered potatoes just delicious. The turkey bacon was okay but I was just excited that they had turkey bacon! My husband had the build your own omelette which he stated was ( h e double hockey sticks ) good! Lol now the star of the show was the French toast! Sweet and savory, crunchy on the ends and soft on the inside omg it was amazing! I absolutely adore this place and will definitely be back!
